Generating electric energy apart from the Sun is not only possible through fotovoltage solar panels, but also from heat produced from solar radiation. The technology able to achieve this is called Thermoelectric Solar.
This functionality basically consists in heating fluid with the energy from the sun to provoke an electric generator to get moving. Two big groups of technology must be employed to get to this: Solar Chimneys and Concentration Centrals or Solar Rays. This article goes through the differences between these two groups and how they combine to make up Thermoelectric Solar Centrals.
