This checklist was created by the Boulder Country Land Use Department of Colorado. It is submitted to the department with the plans for the intended solar thermal project for safety and certification approval by the county.
The form first focuses on the location of the solar thermal system, as that will determine what kind of mounting systems and other technical requirements are necessary for proper and effective installation and use. Other parts of the checklist focus on specific equipment and parts such as pumps, controllers and back check valves.
This checklist is an effective example of what local and state regulators are interested in certifying on new solar thermal installations.
