This document provides details on the Solar Thermal (ST) Program funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to financially support the substitution of electrically heated domestic hot water systems with solar thermal systems. The present document is an update of an existing 2010 programme, available here. The new version provides additional details on general program rules and system requirements.
The document provides all the information needed to apply for the incentives, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will run until December 2015. The programme is only for users who wants to substitute their electrically heated domestic hot water systems with solar thermal systems provided and installed by an eligible installer who has signed a participation agreement with NYSERDA. Incentives are expected to cover between 15 and 20% of the installation.
