Solar Thermal Energy (2008)

This document describes the different uses of solar thermal energy.  Solar thermal energy consists of taking advantage of solar radiation to produce energy destined for different uses like water heating, air conditioning and industrial processes.

There are also a few diagrams that show solar collectors and how they function.  The heat picked up from collectors can be destined to satisfy numerous needs.  For example, one can obtain hot water for domestic or industrial use.  In Arab countries, they use solar energy for refrigeration.

The document also contains various graphs representing energy use and possible savings if one opts for solar thermal energy.
