Solar Cogeneration (2011)

This presentation was created by Paul Davis of Cogenra Solar, Inc. It provides information on solar cogeneration, which utilizes solar thermal alongside a mix of other solar and renewable energy sources to achieve maximum benefits and efficiency.

The most common form of solar cogeneration is electric P.V. combined with solar thermal water heating. The combined system means greater solar efficiency and a higher solar fraction. In turn, this creates higher cost savings for the consumer and a greater reduction of CO2 for the environment.

The presentation highlights many successfully examples of solar cogeneration featuring solar thermal water heating being used in diverse industries such as agriculture, wineries, hospitality, government, and manufacturing.
