RETScreen Software Solar Water Heating Workshop (2008)

This presentation was created by National Grid, an energy service company in the Northeast. It was used to present at Solar Boston, a conference on solar energy in Boston, in a workshop on how to use RETScreen energy analysis software.

The presentation examines why solar thermal water heating makes sense based off the findings of a RETScreen analysis.

The presentation argues that solar thermal water heating systems provide economic value, environmental benefits, and can be used for a variety of applications in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. Solar water heating systems in residential locations can provide the user with pool heating and indoor water heating and can resist freezing temperatures of up to -30 degrees Fahrenheit. Similarly, systems in commercial settings can provide the user with savings in the first year.
