Roberto Best from the Mexican Centro de Investigación en EnergÃa of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México produced, in 2007, this paper reviewing recent developments on thermal cooling systems, with special emphasis being added to cogeneration applications. The document also presents results of a study undertook by the same University on absorption cooling systems and ejector cooling systems.
The document contributes to the research being done to develop new systems to use both lower and higher heat source temperatures with improved efficiencies for cogeneration purposes. Often, cooling and refrigeration applications can be covered by thermal driven cooling systems. Researchers are now trying to find other systems to achieve higher efficiency and operate at lower firing temperatures.
