The National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Lebanon NEEAP 2011-2015

The action plan is presented in two different formats: Section 1- including the 14-initiative narrative NEEAP, and Section 2- including the tabulated format. The proposed NEEAP is also developed in accordance with the different points mentioned in the declaration of the Lebanese Government relating to energy efficiency and renewable energy, namely the set strategic target of 12% renewable energy by 2020.

This report has been developed by the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) for the Ministry of Energy and Water of Lebanon, which is the result of a joint collaboration between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), financed by the Global Environmental Fund (GEF) with co-financing of the International Copper Association (ICA)). The report was also supported by the EU-funded MED-ENEC Project.
The NEEAP 2011-2015 was approved by the Council of Ministers of Lebanon on 10 November 2011. The current version of the NEEAP includes 14 independent but correlated activities in the energy eciency and renewable energy sectors.
