63-Unit Multi-Family Building (2011)

The multi-family building where the solar thermal hot water heating system was installed included 63 family units. 40 collectors were installed for the system, which created a $42,627 rebated for the installation through the California Solar Initiative. The system displaced a natural gas system, which not only reduces their annual electricity bill, but also offsets the equivalent of the carbon emissions from 3.6 cars annually.
