2001 Annual Report: IEA Solar Heating & Cooling Programme (2001)

This report issued by the International Energy Agency (IEA), gives a detailed overview of the policies in place at that time regarding the R&D and integration policies of solar thermal products for the buildings sector.

The document consists of one article and a succinct evaluation of different tasks related to solar heating and cooling. The article is analysing the added value of solar combisystems, namely the combination of solar heating systems with short-term heat storage and high standards of thermal insulation for buildings. Subsequently, the reports from different task-forces present findings about the different solar heating & cooling applications for buildings.

This report is useful not only because of the results shown, but especially because it can be used as a reference when analysing the changes and developments of this industry during the last decade.
