SHC 2017 / Helvi Ileka: Solar Heat reduces Energy Imports for Namibia

Namibia is southern Africa´s front runner in terms of solar energy. Solar could provide energy security for the country that depends heavily on fuel imports. This includes power and water heating for homes, but also heat for the food and mining industry and desalination of water. Helvi Ileka explains, how the roadmap of the Namibian government marks the shift towards solar.

This video was filmed during the Solar Heating and Cooling Conference (SHC 2017) in Abu Dhabi in November 2017.
