Riello finds its Way to the Sun

Riello Group, the Italian giant in fossil fuel burners, has discovered the solar thermal technology for itself. In September of 2008, the company started producing solar thermal collectors at its production facility in Padua, 35 km north of Venice. “We intend to produce 30,000 m2 of collector area this year”, Silvio Giordano, manager for the new production site, announced.

Riello´s flat plate collectors feature an ultrasonic welded copper absorber with a blue selective coating. The guaranteed lifetime is 5 years. The group from Italy also offers vacuum tube collectors, which they purchase from the Austrian manufacturer Greenonetec.
