Dear Solarthermalworld.org Reader,
The
solar thermal industry is suffering from a lack of customer as well as
planner and installer confidence in the upstream supply chain.
Standardised monitoring devices could strengthen the trust in solar heat
installations by those designing or using them. Two new products from
France are now ready to fill this gap: One Thermique, a control unit
created by French company Tecsol and equipped with an online interface
for installers, as well as the storage tank touchscreen, a unit which
was developed by heating system supplier Viessmann and which displays
histograms of solar yield and gas consumption per day, week, month or
year.
Towards the same end goes the
call by the Indian industry for a performance-based solar process heat
incentive instead of the current one-time, area-based subsidy in order
to eschew underperforming systems. This option was discussed with
officials during a workshop at Intersolar India in Mumbai in November.
Best of luck for your business ventures in 2016
