Workshop for Solar Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration 2011, Las Vegas

The 2nd Workshop for Solar Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration will take place on 2nd February 2011 in Las Vegas. The workshop for Task 38, Solar Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration is sponsored by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and will be presented in conjunction with the AHR Expo. The event will bring together top experts from Europe and North America to present a comprehensive programme on the technology and economics of solar air-conditioning and refrigeration.

The Solar Heating and Cooling Programme of the IEA provided a framework for collaborative efforts in the development of solar cooling systems and applications for the last 10 years. In North America many new systems have been installed in the last few years. This workshop draws from this experience and examines the state-of-the-art in thermally driven solar cooling systems in North America. Presented by European and North American experts, it covers: the basics of solar collector technology; open and closed cooling cycles and equipment; operational experience from current systems in North America and design guidelines.
