The International Conference on Sustainable Buildings - Construction Products and Technologies SB13 is part of a major international series of conferences that focus on sustainable building and construction. The series was launched by the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) and the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE) more than ten years ago, and these partners were subsequently joined by the Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative (SBCI) of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). The series, now on a three-year cycle, has become recognized as the world’s preeminent conference series in this important field. The series consists of a first year of planning, followed by a series of regional conferences in the second year, and culminating in a global event during the third year. During 2013, Graz will be one of at least eight regional conferences, while the global conference will be held in Barcelona (SB14). The SB13 Graz conference will take place from 25- to 28 September 2013, in Granz. The Institute of Technology and Testing of Building Materials of Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) is going to host this conference in co-operation with AEE – Institute for Sustainable Technologies (AEE INTEC), an applied research institute on the fields of solar heat, low- and zero energy buildings as well as energy efficiency in industry.
