The report breaks down in detail the different types of solar thermal systems and collectors. Charts, graphs and photos show the various examples listed.

This presentation covers several aspects of solar thermal technology including system types, job creation, market growth, different applications, and the outlook of solar thermal energy in the future. The beginning of the presentation talks about the basic uses of solar thermal energy and the common system types you’ll see on the market. It moves on to job creation and gives the reader estimations of how rapidly jobs can be created (solar equivalent of 200,000 residential systems is approximately 34,885 jobs created).

Brazilian Scenarios of Solar Energy Applications Using SWERA Outputs (2007)

There is a large potential for a variety of solar energy, and in particular solar thermal, applications in the country of Brazil. This research paper uses data from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Solar and Wind Energy Resource Assessment (SWERA) to analyze the overlap of solar averages with other geographic and socio-economic data.

Solar thermal water heating for residential purposes is the most widely used solar application in Brazil.
