Estimated Hot Water System Running Costs in Victoria (2010)
This report was prepared by Energy Consult Ltd. for the Sustainability Victoria governmental agency’s programme. The goal of the report was to estimate the annual energy consumption, GHG emissions and energy running costs of different hot water and heat pump systems in Victoria. This study is an update of an earlier study done by the same company.
PROMASOL: Democratizing Access to Solar Water-Heaters (2011)
This is a case study prepared by the UNDP in the framework of the project PROMASOL, a UN-funded initiative aimed at developing the Moroccan solar water heating market.
Design Process and Construction of a Solar Water Heater Operating by Thermosiphon (2006)
This article, written by engineers from the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira in Colombia, presents the design process and construction of a solar water heating collector for domestic consumption, operating by thermosiphon.
The processes explained in this article are based on the Colombian technical standards NTC 4368 and the NTC 2461.
The article details the mathematical design, selection of materials and process
construction.
Yemen: Framework to Promote Domestic Solar Water Heaters (2009)
This presentation was made during the Regional Workshop on SWH Certification and Standardization organised by RCREEE (Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency) in Tunisia in autumn 2009.
The presentation shows the results of a study on the framework needed for the introduction of domestic solar water heaters in Yemen.
Haryana State, India: Still a Small Market Size, Despite Great Political Efforts

India: Efficiency Labelling for Solar Water Heaters under Discussion
The Indian government is thinking about the implementation of a kind of “star label” for solar water heaters. The institution responsible for the national Standards & Labelling Programme scheme is the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). The national solar industry, however, has some reservations about this plan.

South Africa: Solar Water Heating Strategy & Implementation Plan
Last November, South Africa's Department of Minerals and Energy (DME) published the draft of an “Overall Recommended Strategic Framework”. The framework is to come into effect in April 2010. This strategy should help to equip 1 million households with solar water heaters by 2014.
Chile: Tax Rebate for Construction Companies
Sunny Chile: On 19 November 2009, the National Energy Commission held a presentation on the “regulatory framework for solar thermal in Chile” that led to the introduction of a new tax rebate programme for solar water heaters (SWH) in August this year and will last until 2013.
