Germany: Increased Funding Levels of national Subsidy Programme

The up and down in the German Market Rebate Programme for Renewable Energies (MAP) continues. Just in time for the beginning of the ISH, the worldwide largest trade fair for bathroom, building, energy and climate technology in Frankfurt, Germany, the Ministry of Environment published its new conditions for the MAP subsidy programme, which covers solar thermal installations, biomass boilers and heat pumps. The new regulations came into force on the same day, the 15 March (see database of incentive programmes).

Solar Cooling System at Pousada do Parque” Since the beginning of 2011, solar cooling technology from Thuringia/Germany ensures a pleasant indoor climate in the rooms of the eco-hotel Pousada do Parque in Cuiabá, Brazil. On 15 January, the pilot plant came into operation, and since then, it has not only provided cold water, but also important input for a current campaign to accelerate the use of solar cooling technology in the Brazilian hotel sector.

Chile: DGS and ACESOL agree to mutual Membership

Wüst (left)” German-Chilean cooperation in the field of solar energy: On 7 November 2010, the German Solar Energy Society (DGS) and the Chilean Solar Association ACESOL reached an agreement on reciprocal membership in Berlin. The cooperation contract was signed by ACESOL Honorary President Pablo Pastene (centre), DGS Secretary General Uwe Hartmann (right) and the Director of the DGS Regional Association of Berlin Brandenburg, Rainer E. Wüst (left).
