Australia: Country's largest Solar Cooling System on Hospital

 Solar-assisted cooling installation in Echuca” The largest solar cooling plant built in Australia so far has been running since April 2011. The solar-assisted cooling installation is a project by the Echuca Regional Health, a public hospital in Echuca, around two and a half hours drive north of Melbourne.

Slovak Aid supports Installations of larger Solar Thermal Systems across Region

 Visitor parking garage of the hospital of Zreňanin” The currently largest solar thermal system in Serbia is installed on the employee and visitor parking garage of the hospital in the Serbian town of Zreňanin, according to the director of the Serbian Solar Institution, Miroslav Lambiča. 200 solar collectors manufactured and set up by Slovakian company Thermosolar have generated heat for this central hospital since December 2010.

South Korea: Hospital receives 1,040 m² of large-scale collectors

 Solar Installation at Mirae Hospital” South Korean company Jehin Co. Ltd finished the first demonstration project which uses its newly developed extra large flat plate collectors of 10 m2 each, called “Mega Collectors”. The company's costumer is Mirae Hospital located in Kimje, Junbuk, South Korea, with 709 beds and a daily hot water consumption of 80,000 litres. Jehin delivered 104 collectors with a total surface area of around 1,040 m2. The company mounted them on the ground in the near surroundings of the hospital and took the system into operation on 10 March. Air source heat pumps are used as the system's backup heat source.
