This is a testimony by Jane M. Weissman, executive director of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council presented to the House of Representatives. Weissman discusses education and training programs to facilitate the adoption of solar technology moving forward.

Within the testimony, it is estimated by the US Department of Energy that as many as 5,000 trained installers may be needed by 2015 just to accomplish their new Solar America Initiative.
