This presentation was created by Tim Merrigan of the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory and was first presented at the 2011 USH2O Annual Meeting. It focuses on clearing up and defining some widely, and often loosely, used terms in the world of solar thermal heating relating to system names and official standards.

This report, compiled by the Energy Research Centre from the Netherlands with the help of the European Environment Agency, has been published in February 2011 and illustrates the targeted levels of renewable energy production that the EU member-states want to obtain by 2020.

This document produced by Solar Skies is an example of installation guidelines for solar collectors.

It includes relevant information as to how to install the collectors, but also the best locations in the house to install the collectors, recommendations regarding maintenance and other technical specifications.

This short presentation explains the SO-PRO Project which is being coordinated by the Energy Agency of Upper Austria (O.Ö. Energiesparverband).

The project, financed by Intelligent Energy Europe, will put in place market development activities (training, developing guidelines, information for industrial decision makers, etc) in six European regions, aimed at boosting solar process heat.

This report was prepared on the framework of the Soltherm Project. It aims to provide recommendations and guidelines for any party (local authorities, energy utilities, consultants and energy agencies) involved or interested in market enlargement actions for solar heating products in Europe.

The document is based on experience and best practices from previous campaigns and market stimulation activities. It also included promotion and publicity opportunities for both demand and supply side.

This report was written by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in May, 2009. This document discusses how rebate money will be split up to solar electric and solar hot water systems. The rebate money totals $100 million from the Pennsylvania Sunshine Solar Program and was designated for homeowners and small businesses.

PROCESOL II project intends to promote the use of solar thermal systems coupled with heat recovery technologies in the industrial sector in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, France and Belgium.

This report provides an overview of the state of the art of measuring heat delivery in larger solar systems, looking also at the costs and accuracy of the measuring systems. The present document was produced within the framework of the Intelligent Energy- Europe project Key Issues for Renewable Heat in Europe (K4RES-H. The project looks at providing guidelines for best practice policies to support renewable heating and cooling (RES-H) technologies.
