This report was prepared by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) in 2007. It gives an overview on the status of all solar energy and the future of it in the US.
For solar thermal, the domestic solar water heating market (as well as other facets) received significant boosts from federal tax credits and incentives, while growth is expected to counter-balance the increasing costs of traditional heating sources. It mentions the top solar thermal states and the MW capacity. According to 2007 statistics, solar pool heating accounts for the largest number of installations in the U.S. and has grown at an average annual rate of 8 per cent for the past 4 years.
It briefs on the economic and job growth benefits, and how solar programs are adjusting with the US market. It ends with a summary on future decades of solar growth, as long as there is proper federal support.
