Solar Thermal Energy in Upper Austria, the Number One Solar Region (2009)

Upper Austria is a very important region in terms of solar panels production. More than 10 % of all solar collectors installed in Europe in 2007 were produced by Upper Austrian companies. In total, Upper Austria‘s solar thermal industry with its about 500 employees produced more than 300,000 m² of solar collectors in the year 2008.
