• Solar Thermal Power 2020: Exploiting the Heat from the Sun to Combat Climate Change (2003)-

  This study is a product of a partnership between the European Solar Thermal Industry Association (today's ESTELA) and Greenpeace. It provides information on the current state of solar thermal technology, and develops a scenario for where the solar thermal market could be by the year 2020.

• CSP Technologies Projects in EUMENA (2008)-

  Dr. Nikolaus Benz Vice President of ESTELA (European Solar Thermal Electricity Association) gave this presentation at the EUROMED 2008 Solar Workshop. This is a very informative presentation about concentrated solar power technologies. The slides explain de differences between a power tower, parabolic trough, linear Fresnel and a dish stirling. A map pointing out the current markets is also provided, together with more specific information on the projects ongoing in Spain and also on the MENA region.

• Seizing the Solar Solution: Combating Climate Change through Accelerated Deployment (2009)-

  This report was published on December 2009, parallel to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) summit taking place in Copenhagen, to bring authorities' attention to solar energy and the relevant contribution it can provide to reducing GHG emissions.

• The Solar Thermal Electricity Industry’s Proposal for the Mediterranean Solar Plan (2009)- Following the the contribution from ESTELA (European Solar Thermal Electricity Association) to the European Commission’s Strategic Energy Technology Plan, ESTELA has also issued its proposal for the Mediterranean Solar Plan (MSP). One of the main goals of the MSP is to contribute to the creation of a Euro-Mediterranean regional renewable electricity market. In addition, the MSP will also help the economic development of Southern Mediterranean countries by creating a new source of revenue.
