  This 2009 document sees concentrating solar power (CSP) as a solution to the world’s energy challenges. The document states that CSP is one of the few available low carbon technologies which can provide a solution over the next 40 years in view of limiting greenhouse gas emissions and addressing the concerns of energy security.

  The report comes to this conclusion based on the CSP performance in Spain and the US and the maturity of the existing technology. The report anticipates in the short to medium term a greater grid connectivity in both Europe and the US.
