Skills for Work Energy Course: Energy: Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems (2008)

This is an example of a document outlining the main features of a training course for domestic solar hot water systems. It includes the main outcomes, the work plan of the course, as well as employability skills which are developed throughout the course.

The document was prepared by the Scottish Qualifications Authority in the framework of the course “Skills for Work Energy”. It refers to one of the units which allows students to gain some practical skills and knowledge of how the solar hot water energy sector operates. Students will have the opportunity to develop manufacturing, assembly, and testing skills required to build a small domestic solar hot water system.
