Solar Energy for Heating and Electricity - the Potential for Mitigating Climate Change (2009)

Submitted by Raquel Ponte Costa on September 10, 2012

This report - prepared for Imperial College London by Dr. N.J. Ekins-Dauke - evaluates solar water heating and concentrated solar power market development from an international and British perspective. Based on the conclusions of other studies, it estimates that solar water heating ocould supply 70% of household hot water in the UK, as long as there is sufficient governmental support to offset the high up-front installations costs.
